1911 Govt. or Commander Spring for XD9 Service?

I have read the FAQ but thought I saw some conflicting answers.

I'm going to order a guide rod from pistolgear for my XD9 4".

Pistolgear only sells down to 18lbs and I want lower for shooting IPSC. I found them on Brownells but do I order a Govt. size spriing or Commander? Thanks
