J-Hooks necessary?
On the Crossbreed Supertuck are the Snap-Loks alone enough to keep the holster in place while drawing the weapon, or are the J-Hooks necessary to achieve this? Considering ordering one soon for my XD-45 Service and any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hopefully I am reading your question correctly, so here goes nothin'. The standard clips will hold the holster securely. The optional J-hooks, if you choose that option, would replace the standard clips; not used in addition to standard clips.
The primary difference is concealability (J-hooks behind belt, standard clips in front of belt), but also the distribution of the weight of the gun/holster. J-hooks will put more weight on the pants, possibly causing sagging, whereas the standard clips put the weight on the belt itself and actually prevent sagging. Both are good options, depending on what you want. If you want more concealability, go with the J-hooks. If you have a heavier weapon or are worried about sagging, stick with the standard clips. By the way, you shouldn't have much of a problem with the holster coming off with the draw anyway, the kydex releases very smoothly. |

Thanks for the info. I like the standard clips option, but the Crossbreed site suggested the use of both for added security.
