After reading this I did it to mine and love it. I trimmed the kydex with my dad's jewelery tool pretty much a dremel just smaller for more precision and I used a ball bit. Thanks for the pics otherwise I wouldn't of been able to do it. I'll post a pic of mine.

Looks good BigC.
like you said, cutting the Kydex is the big difference.

Finally got around to making the "cut" this past weekend. Used a dremel with a small cut off wheel to do the major cutting and a small round dremel bit (on a lower rpm) for the finer Kydex work.
As stated before, the combat cut makes a world of difference in gripping the gun solidly while drawing. Be sure to round off those Kydex edges!!! On my first test draw it surprised me how sharp it was, didn't cut me but I sure felt it.
Wish I would have done this sooner!

I already get irritated carrying my Springer Stippled XD9SC in an un-cut ST. I cannot imagine the chaffing my side would get with this stippling job and a combat cut.

Great thread. I cut the Kydex on my ST this weekend (dont want to cut the leather). My dremel bits seemed to have grown legs, so I used a pair of industrial scissors similar to the ones you would see in the infomercials that cut aluminum cans and nails and other random stuff, then I used a fine rat-tail file to round off the edges of the kydex. I made the about 1/8 of an inch farther down than the pics that Ive seen here because the Kydex was right up against the front part of my CT grip.
Overall, Im really happy the way it turned out, thanks for the pics y'all posted. Trimming the Kydex makes a world of difference.

I'm sure this may sound a bit snarky, but its not intended that way. Why not just sell them with the combat cut as the stock option?
edit: To be honest, this was one of the reasons I decided not to get a Supertuck. I would rather see the stock price increased to get the most effective version of a product than see a reduced price for a version of the same product but in a sub-optimal configuration. Of course, that's the same with anything as far as paying more for more options on a car, house, Windows7, etc...so, its easy to say my argument is full o' crap. But when it comes to actual functionallity of a potentially very important peice of equipment, it seems similar to buying a car with 3 wheels instead of all four.
