whats the pepsi do for the flavor? (and i thought i was a pro at the CP)
my favorite is to make a HUGE roast in one with just enough veggies for that meal.
eat
make wife rinse crock pot
put left over meat in it with any bbq sauce. turn back on low
sleep
wake up
make sandwhiches for lunch, leaving extra bbq sauce in it
pour beans, mollases and brown sugar in.
go fishing
come home
eat beans

Now that is some serious crockpot cooking right now.
I just threw a London Broil in with some seasoning (garlic, salt, pepper Etc) 1/2 cup Sierra Nevada, 1 1/2 water and 1/2 onion. later I'll add some taters and I'll have dinner ready for tomorrow....
I love those site, I was wondering what to do about dinner tomorrow due to our screwed up work schedule, Now I can eat before I go to work and the wife can eat a couple hours later when she goes in...
And when she leaves, she can leave the leftovers in the pot and pour some BBQ sauce over it and I'll have a snack when I get off... Don't know about the beans those
You know the song, Beans, beans go for ya heart.....

It's the single man's best kitchen tool.
Stroganoff
1 pound of beef or venison stew meat
1 onion, sliced thin
1 green pepper, sliced thin
1 tbs minced garlic
1 package brown gravy mix
1 cup of dry sherry (or wine of choice)
1 small package of mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup of sour cream
************************
Brown meat dredged in flour, salt & pepper, and place in slow cooker.
Sauté' onion, green pepper, mushrooms, garlic and place in cooker.
Prepare gravy mix per envelope directions, substituting wine for water.
combine all ingredients, except sour cream, in cooker and place on low for six hours.
Stir in sour cream just before serving.
Serve over buttered egg noodles with caraway seeds.

HAHA!! OK, TARD, here a gun twist for ya. (Yeah, I've actually done this)
Gather the following ingredients:
Chicken quarters
Russian Dressing (Kraft makes some, sold with the salad dressings)
Lipton onion soup mix
Cooking directions:
While wearing your XD in your favorite holster, place cleaned chicken in crockpot. Sprinkle on soup mix to desired flavor, and pour in plenty of dressing. Cook on low for eight hours. While waiting, buy ammo, go to range, come home, post range report, clean gun, wash hands, then prepare to eat meal. Serve with lead free rice and veggies.

Stroganoff is one of my favorite dishes. And now I'm stuck at work drooling over how this recipe will turn out. Definitely gonna try it out this weekend. Thanks Frenchy.

My mom used to fry up some ground steak cutlets(hamburgers, whatever) just enough to brown the outside of them. Then, she would put them in a crock pot with a can of Mushroom soup and a packet of Lipton dried Onion soup mix and a little water.
When you got home later in the day, the house smelled like ecstasy, and the cutlets were the best pieces of tender, melt in your mouth Swiss Steak that you have EVER eaten in your life.
DAMMIT! Now, I am busting out the crock pot when I get home!! Geez. So much for the diet.
Thanks, Magnum.

What are cooking apples? Is it a certain type of apple, or those bags of sliced apples, or something different?
thanks

Did you really use the word "vittles" in a sentence?
Do you have "Flapjacks" for breakfast?
Just razzin ya, Dan.
While I'm a big fan of real BBQ, crock pot ribs are pretty dang good grub!
