Bowie Knife Info

I guess we need to know how big a blade do you want? How much do you want to spend? what purpose will this knife serve? That may help narrow down suggestions...

style is important too.

some bowies feature more belly and taper down closer to the hilt.

This thread is just gonna remind me that I need a Becker BK9...

It's more of a modern take on the blade design. Has more a more subtle clip point design.

in my opinion anything that isn't similar to the one posted above isn't a bowie. it has to be large and heavy to the point its more of a short sword. the blade needs to be shaped the way the one above is shaped or its not a bowie.

2 good bowies are the western W 49 or CS trail master either in Carbon V or san mai you cant go wrong with them in my humble opinion the becker bk9 is also very good along with kabar kurki though not a bowie a very useful tool indeed
