Looking for new fixed blade.
Hey Guys/Gals. Have a question.
Looking for a knife thats the same general size of the following blade.
KAI USA : Kershaw Product Details
Must have a kydex sheath. Hopefully can be at least modified to carry in the small of the back. As thats where I would prefer to carry a large knife.
Kershaw use to make one out of D2 tool steel they no longer do. This is their new version.
Must have decent steel. Full Tang.
And lastly can not be OMG expensive.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or help. Have a great day.

I recommend the Cold Steel Leatherneck SF. I have the full-flat grind version which uses SK-5 steel and its a sweet blade! It's full tang, has an awesome secure-ex plastic type sheath, and cost me around $50! I posted a thread about it in this section if you're interested.

What is your definition of OMG expensive for steel??
This is a great comparison of different steel such as 440C and crucible steel.

I'm hoping you are considering a quality handle material
This company has BA knives: www.spartanbladesusa.com
Our best seller for the fixed blade is the Horkos.. although the blade is not 10"
Good luck in your search!

I've been looking for one too, I'll keep an eye on this thread
I really like the Chris Reeve knives, but I'm kinda broke, lol... maybe for my birthday I'll spoil myself with one (or a new AR)
*edit*

ESEE Junglas or Becker BK9.
ESEE's aren't the cheapest but they're a great value IMO.

I used to love my Becker BK2, but the hard grivory scales just plain suck. You can swap them out for micarta, but once you do, you're in ESEE price territory and might have well gone with that.
