Spyderco

I am relativity new to the knife world, i had a spring assisted kershaw that was about 25$ not sure the model and a couple other cheap folders, i been researching spyderco alot and they seem pretty nice, i just ordered a delica 4, cant wait to try it out, i needed a new edc knife. I was about to pull the trigger so to speak on the para military 2 version but i thought the delica4 size would work better, i dont skin game or anything like that just everyday tasks ect, but who knows i might get addicted to spyderco haha it seems many people do, any other people into spyderco?

Spyderco is great! I love my Tenacious, it's probably my favorite folder. It was made in China, but you'd never know unless you were told. Great bang for buck for only $30. Also, the Spyderco headquarters is a few miles away from me too

Spyderco's are just about the only knives I buy anymore. Not that there aren't many other good brands, but I really like Spyderco. The Para 2 has great ergonomics and is sized just right for EDC, IMO. I've given a few as gifts and I'm waiting on the CutleryShoppe version to be delivered sometime next month.

PARA-MILITARY 2 - C81GPOR2 CTS-XHP Blade - SOLD OUT IN 12 DAYS! THANK YOU OUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS!!!

Love my Spyderco PM2 all black edition !!!!! It is my main EDC knife along with my Spyderco SS Cricket. The PM2 is a great all around knife and top seller for Spyderco. The compression lock alone will give you many hours of joy opening and closing the knife. The quality of the PM2 compared to the Value line (Tenacious, Persistence, Resilience and Ambitious) is like night and day. Value line is still a great buy, I have the Tenacious and Resilience. The light weight and aggressive, grip-pier G-10 scales on the PM2 are an added bonus to go along with the CPMS30V steel . Price is going up on them also, I paid 99 for mine and now they are going for 125 to 400 depending on knife steel and color (sprint runs and limited editions). Seen a PM2 in CPMS90V steel with carbon fiber scales go for 475 the other day on Ebay .

A couple of other Spyderco's I own

I don't have the PM2 but I have the all black 1st gen paramilitary, I rotate between that and my benchmade presidio as my edc, and I would argue that Spyderco is one of the best knife companies in the US for utility folders and such in terms of quality, simplicity, ergonomics, and durability. Great EDC knives

I love my Spyderco Endura 4, had it for over a year and use it daily. It was extremely sharp the day I got it, still very sharp. around $70

Spyderco is better quality in general to kershaw... IMO.

The killer on the delica/endura, is the handle, just too small for my edc use. I like having a good grip, hard to explain, but it just didn't sit right in my hand. I prefer my handles to be a bit taller, not so much wide, just tall. So it spans my palm, from thumb to, um, errr... the ring finger callus.

For a reference, have a couple spyderco tenacious, prefer that handles size much more.

Spyderco knives are indeed outstanding! The Tenacious is my EDC and I absolutely love it!! Like someone else here said, it's made in China, but the quality is outstanding, especially for a $30 knife, mine hasn't failed me yet in almost a year of EDC use! It was my first Spydie, but won't be the last. I really want to get the Delica 4 and Endura 4, and also the PM2 when I can afford it. Great quality knives, well-designed and sold for fair prices.

Enjoy that Delica 4, but be warned: Spydercos can indeed become addictive OP, watch out! Once the "spydie bug" bites you, there's no cure (not that you'd want one anyway! )
