IS the op doing something wrong? Are YOU the group buy police?
why dont those of you not interested in the group buy stop quoting your dealers prices and worrying about what models are included or not
those of us interested can decide for ourselves whether we wish to participate or not.

Well he is Tony from ESEE knives...
I've never heard of an ESEE group buy consisting of different models. It's usually the same knife, 50 knife minimum order, and it's usually more $ because you get custom logos and the knives are numbered "1 of 50", "25 of 50" etc...
I'm not sure if the OP is referring to this type of group buy or if he means just a bulk purchase to save some money. When you say group buy to an "ESEE guy" he's thinking a group buy for a semi custom knife.

I got a price list from the guy and the esee 3 is 22 bucks cheaper on knife center than what he is offering. I appreciate the effort but there really isnt a deal here.

Yup and the OP is just wanting to do a group purchase. Not what we are used to on the ESEE forum with the special runs and logos.
It just seems like it's harder to get it discounted if everyone wants something different and there are not many people committed.
Seems like a specific model would be easier and maybe at the most have different colors.
For example the ESEE 4 in these colors for this price if 10 people buy or this price if 20 people buy.
It would just depend if on what model and how many people are buying.

you won't get a discount is the main point on this style of group buy ....
do a XD forum ESEE 3 or 4 and you should see a discount
Example we did in 2009
cost each person less than $100+shipping per knife ,limit 2 per person

never said he did anything wrong, but this style buy wont save you any $$$
do a XD forum ESEE3 or whatever (1 model) and you'll see a savings
