cold steel vs ka-bar kukri

looking at a kukri blade, wanted one for a long time and finally feel like getting it, if anyone has a cold steel or ka-bar kukri tell me how you like em? and why is the ka-bar like 50 bucks more? and what is the best place to order from online

Kabar is thicker, a lil' better steel. Cold Steel bills their Kukri's as "machettes". Handle them both to make your decision.

The cold steel machetes are great for the price. I've never handled the kabar khukri, but I can tell you I probably wouldnt trust either to anything more than light brush. I have two himalayan imports khukris. They're more expensive, but they truly are the best.
