Pretty much. In addition, there are firearms of various types in all areas of the house.

I usually pocket carry around the house, but my dedicated HD gun is in this handgun safe mounted to my bed and my loaded shotgun in the safe. That's pretty much the three guns that I depend on for protection.

being that i have small kids when i'm home my guns are usually locked up in the safe. i wrestle around with them and don't want to land on my gun. i need to get a gunvault though for the bedside.

One kept near the front door and one normally goes up to bed with us at night. A rifle is kept in the family room and one is kept upstairs in the bedroom and one is in the basement. BTW, we have no kids but if friends show up with kids, the weapons are secured with the exception of the front door gun. That one is totally out of reach and not in view even by me at 6'3"...
