Thanks N.E. I noticed the author thumb curled down for more gripping strength, trigger finger inserted to distal joint for more leverage. I was told to ride the safety with both thumbs pointing forward. I know it is whatever feels and works best for the individual but I am looking for a good model to start with and form good habits early. Whats your thoughts?

Congrats!
From the pictures, I'd say you are just fine. Keep practicing and you'll get a lot better.

Went to the range today(1st time) to try the .40, seems i am tightening my grip while pulling the trigger. Wanna go back and work on it on a weekly basis, maybe trying the 3-5-7 yd idea. Pretty much went to get a feel for the gun, was thinking i should try the 9 next time. When i get my own, which will be very soon, i will be dry firing alot at home. There is alot of useful info in here, thanks guys. Any tips on the whole tightening my grip while pulling the trigger problem?

Dry fire and "air gun". Air gun is pretty much like air guitar. Make like your holding the gun pull the trigger while not moving your other fingers. Grip use the strong hand to grip the gun more of a front to back and your weak hand grip side to side. Your weak hand squeezes as hard as you can without starting to shake your strong had is more relaxed, just a solid grip.
