Question about NRA Personal protection class
I asked this question on another board, but I did not get any response. So, I will ask it here. I have recently found an agency called DES Training in Rock Hill SC ( DES Training) that offers the NRA Personal protection inside and outside the home classes. I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience with these NRA classes. Would you recommend them?

I took Personal Protection in the Home. Good class. It was the class needed in my state to get a CCW.

I took the NRA Basic Pistol and Personal Protection Inside the Home courses. The basic pistol was very basic. Stuff that most any person should know, but I guess some don't. The Personal Protection Inside the Home was a bit better. To me, a lot of it was common sense, but they did bring up some good points and I did learn a few things. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the one outside the home. I was told this class works more with holster drawing and stuff. I would like to take it someday.

I took the inside the home class as it was a required class to obtain my CPL. I have not gotten a chance to take an outside the home class as the local person who is certified to do so is waiting to get a class size of around 10-12 peope. (Class I believe is $250)

I would imiagine he is a little overpriced, I am an NRA instructor and know his cost of material etc. It cost about 250.00 to become an Instuctor for Outside the home. (after you get basic Pistiol, and take the class as a student)

IIRC it was either $225 or $250. His ITH classes were $120 which is the norm in MI for the CPL class besides the some who charge $200.00
