Concealed carry questions
(I was unable to find the answer to my questions in a search, so if this has been answered, just link it up.)
Anyway, I was curious about concealed carry and have a few questions.
1. I'm a microbiologist and will most likely be working in either a hospital or a university setting. Both places prohibit the carrying of firearms. Is it still worth it to get my CCW if I can only carry on the weekends and after work??
2. I know the point of concealed carry is to BE concealed. However, aside from the obvious, can printing get one in trouble? I mean, if you are printing, is it no longer considered concealed and would that violate laws that prohibit open carry?

2. depends on your state's definition of concealed. here printing is ok if say it is the edge of the gun butt, but if i can tell for sure that it is a gun not a cell phone or pda or colostomy bag, its illegal.

Yes, it's worth it! Because you can't carry during the week, should you not be able to protect yourself on the weekends?
I'm not a lawyer, but I have never heard of anyone being in trouble because they printed. Even if you do print, most people are not that aware of their surroundings or they think it's a cell phone.

YES, IMO its worth it. You may encounter a BG at work, but you will most likely have a run in with a BG while not at work.
Eventhou you may be printing, it is concealed. I would strongly recommend finding a way not to. And test it with family and friends. If your spouse doesn't know you have been packing for the past 8hrs, your probably good to go...
You will feel better knowing that you have the CHOICE to carry legally when you want to.

Now that I am thinking about it, when was the last time you purposely was looking to see whos packing.. I go to Wal-Mart all the time and I cannot remember when I seen anyone I noticed packing..

Some have better eyes than others and some are looking for the print.
Now, I have heard comments like ... That guy has a nice package, and I had NO IDEA.

I agree it is definately worth getting. Carry anytime it's legal to do so.
State law is different in each state but generally speaking, no, you won't get in trouble for printing... it's just really unprofessional.
