It's worth it.

The definition of concealment varies from state to state. Here in Utah, it's legal to open carry. So if you're concealing and printing or the wind blows your shirt up and you flash the world, it doesn't matter.

Yes, it is definitely worth getting your Concealed weapons permit (license).

Ask yourself this, is it worth having auto insurance if you only drive to and from work, and not while you work. Is it worth having medical insurance because you only use it when your sick? ETC... the list goes on and on, but you get the idea.

So Yes, go out and get your concealed license.

As always, Stay Safe.

State law is different in each state but generally speaking, no, you won't get in trouble for printing... it's just really unprofessional.
In Texas it IS illegal to knowingly print/become unconcealed. The law is vague (as many are) ..if a reasonable person can tell it's a gun,... if you don't make a reasonable effort to stay concealed, re-conceal... etc. It is NOT illegal to become unconcealed, but it is illegal to not make every effort to re-conceal.

Bottom line, most people walk around with their heads in the clouds and wouldn't notice if you were carrying open. A "bump" on your hip means nothing to most folks.

Well...sort of. My wife and I share a car, and she is dead set against getting any firearm training. And she is the one who drives it. She drops me off at my hospital, then goes to work at her hospital. I couldn't leave it in her car because she dislikes guns for one, but she wouldn't be able to legally transport, at least I don't think so.

Wink Big ****

This is what I do: I hang out w/ladies who have big ******* and no one even notices me, let alone if I'm printing.
Seriously though, here in SC I've been told it is not a big deal if you print.
Get your CC permit and you are good to go wherever it's legal.

In SC, if you are an employee of the hospital and you get written permission from your employer, you can carry at the hospital.

#1) Yes, get your permit. I work in Chicago....{enough said}, but live and play in Indiana. So I cannot carry or even have the handgun in my car while in Chicago, but do carry back home. On a side note, not being able to carry in Chicago/Illinois has actually decreased the amount of time that we go downtown for a night out. I would rather stay in Indiana where I can protect the family.

2) Over the last few years, I have tried to find where people are actually carrying, and even knowing what I am looking for, I very seldom come across one. The 1st time I saw a CC this year was in Vegas two weeks ago at a PF Changs. The wife did not have a clue, even after I pointed it out to her. I think most people don't even know what they are looking at.

Worth it? Definitely, if you don't after asking this question and you need it you'll regret it for the rest of your life. You can't afford not to.

Get a good holster set up and work at it and you'll be fine. I've had my shirt come off my ruger 94 before and no one even noticed, or because it was in a holster they all just assume naturally I was a cop.

Wearing a holster makes you look like a good guy to everyone.
