Here is another thought. I am not a LEO but I have one on the visor of my truck right by the window so that if an officer is walking up to my window he can see it. I'm 41, don't want to be a mall ninja or a billy bad ass, or anything like that. I want the officer to know when he sees it that I'm a friendly and not someone he has to worry about that means to cause harm. You guys are so against them and I can see why. I would not carry mine around but I think for inside the vehicle, it's not a bad idea and then you can hand over your concealed permit and drivers license and everyone is at ease. Just a thought. This is why I have mine, well that and my dad bought them for my wife and I.

I feel CCW badges are worthless under any situation..
A badge is something you earn, not something you buy..
Around here if you flash a badge, in your vehicle or otherwise, an LEO is more likely to raise question to your intentions.
Not feel at ease because you have a fake CCW badge.
Wanna make an LEO feel at ease?
Follow their instruction and be courteous..
Show 'em you CCW if you like.

This issue has been brought up on other forums, and the verdict is pretty much unanimous that these things are useless.
I have questioned a number of LEO's in my area and they all agree that displaying your CHL, in the event that you have to pull your weapon in a defensive situation, is all that is needed. Leo's know exactly what the CHL looks like and don't need anyone flashing any sort of a "badge". I tend to agree that anyone who buys one of these things is just a mall ninja or a cop-wannabe.

I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

If pulled over by LEO,my best course of action is pull over immediatly, safely, put on flashers,if at night, put inside lights, and place hands on steering wheel where they can be seen. My attitude goes a long way to laying the "tone" of the encounter. My CCW is right under my driver's license, they BOTH go out the window to the officer's hand. I ASK HIM what he wants me to do once he is made aware I am armed...it's his call. I want him to be comfortable and know I am cooperative. Besides,it's only in MY best interests!!!
