Definitely worth getting an appt and walking in. But either way you go, I think that CWL apps are WAY up in Florida right now, so the wait is probably longer than normal. Hope you get it soon.

Well still waiting... was able to talk to a customer service rep today about it.
She said currently there is a backup on applications. She said mine was received in the mail room on October 19th. They are just now processing applications that were received in September. So I'm about another 2-4 weeks out I guess
Wish I would of known about the regional office or that is where I would done it.

hmmm.....a few weeks ago two of my friends both completed the course to get the paperwork needed to file for permit. My one friend about a week and a half ago was able to get an apt here in Orlando to file, and just got his permit in the mail the other day. My other friend, also in Orlando, called to make his office apt a few days after the other guy and was told he cant even get in to file until feb

I did my application at the regional office on Dec. 6th, license was issued on the 13th, I got it in the mail on the 19th... You know you can call 1 (850) 245-5691 and inquire on the status of your license. Talk to an operator and they can give you your tracking number and you can put it into the automated system to find out what stage of the process your license is in.
Edit- this may be because I'm a veteran and submitted my DD-214 as my training, and have no criminal record whatsoever. Idk of it takes longer if they have to verify your training certification.

Issued and mailed - 8th day after the appointment. Just be checking the mailbox, now
Not sure how long ago it was issued, since this is the first time I checked. Best experience with a government agency, ever.

Me and my buddy went to the Tampa office this month. He got his within a week and a half. I went a week after him so expecting mine soon. I think the trick is setting up the appointment so you know the application is correct. They said it takes forever to make corrections on mailed applications.

especially now, I think their mail in processing times will be closer to (or longer than) the 90 day timeframe.
I did mine by walking in to an office and the permit was at the house within 10 days.
Hope it gets in shortly!!
