They said it's been received and it's still being processed... They said current wait time is 6-8 weeks. Well I'm past the wait time... maybe it will come this week

Thought I might add something specific here. I mailed from Arizona for my Florida CC License. Got it in August this year. It was a month and a couple of days. Not more than 33 days. So they are very held up right now if they are taking that long. Between the telephone information and the time to process, I was thinking it was pretty good state service.

I just received my FL non-resident today. I mailed it certified on the 23rd of September. They did kick me back because they couldn't read the instructor's signature, but that was resolved with a polite call. The person they spoke to before me was screaming, and I could tell they weren't jumping to help them. I made the gal laugh, was polite, and as a result I went from held, to processing, to processed during the call.
They had told me previously they were running 90 days, and when I spoke to the gal, she said they were scrutinizing more because of several fake certificates. My advise is to call, be polite, and not be pushy. As a result of me doing so, I'd have to say that was the most pleasant beurocratic process I've ever had.

When I got mine, I got an appointment scheduled for 8 days after the phone call and after going there it took a week to get it in the mail. Took longer for me to drive from Ft Myers to Punta Gorda, then it did to do all the paper work and finger prints at their office. I think I was in and out in 15 minutes.

Call during bussiness hours, the automated one always just says processing. A live person can atleast tell you if their is a problem. Good luck soon you'll have it and forgotten all about the wait

Thanks I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can get a 'live' person.

Yikes. You're past the 90 days; I'd be giving them hell if it didn't come this week! That's just dumb. There has to be a way to speed this process up and streamline it. I don't see why they don't do online applications, and then you could submit your digital prints with it since you retrieve them online anyways.
