The State Of Connecticut prohibits me from carrying at work, I work in EMS. My workplace also has a ban on all weapons for patrons and employees alike, with the exception of on duty LEOs on site in performance of his or her duties. We have on site state police and federal police, I feel relatively safe at work but would still rather be carrying.

I'm aware and I've already discussed this with my boss. Was one of the reasons why I approached her so she could deal with the situation properly if it arises. I didn't want her to be surprised and freak out if a coworker approached her. However, the only bending my job requires is sitting in my cubicle.

I'm self employed, none of my 21 people know I CC, and I frankly don't wish to know if any of them CC. Agree or not it's how I run my operation. I respect all who work for me, and the fact that they do work for me says all that needs to be said as far as character is concerned. It's called (Concealed) KEEP IT THAT WAY imho.

With that said, if I was approached by one of my people asking for my blessing to CC at work it would not be a problem. I would ask that they keep it between us.

My boss keeps a Beretta 92 in his desk drawer so I didn't have any problems bringing it up when I got my CCL. Actually just yesterday I bought a gun off galleryofguns with his credit card as a present for his wife. Now that's a productive work day ha.

My employer prohibits firearms on company property but Texas state law says they can't prohibit them from being in the parking lot. I carry but it stays in my truck while I'm on the clock.

The reason I've never brought it up is I don't want there to be an issue......

NC recently passed a law that your workplace is considered under your castle doctrine law
Brad,

Yes, in the 2011-2012 season of the General Assembly, NC did recently make some much needed changes, (effective Dec 1, 2011) but still not enough.

As it stands now, a NC employer can deny you the right to carry ANYWHERE on the premises, INCLUDING in a locked vehicle in their parking lot. If they want to fire you for violating their no handgun policy, they can.

If it had passed, HB 63 would have changed that, but it was NOT passed.

HB 650 WAS passed. For a while HB 63 was part of it, but was removed.

GRNC - What HB 650 Means to You

Here's a link to what was actually signed into law:

Not trying to call you out or nothing like that. Just sharing what I learned.

I, and a couple of co-workers thought that HB 650 included things that DID NOT make it to the final version.

Maybe next time...

Nope!

Me and my boss both carry
