Concealing XDm 3.8, thoughts?

Picking up an XDm 9mm 3.8" tomorrow (very excited ). Shot one a few days ago, had to have it. Dumped my LC9 for it. Who said breaking up was hard to do?

Small problem.

Me.

I'm 5'4, 140 lbs. How am I going to conceal this thing? I carried the LC9 iwb not quite at 2 o' clock. More like, 1:30 ish. I'm thinking if I do that with the XDm, I'll end up with a bulge in my pants that would be out of place on a woman.

Oh, and I'm not going to put it in a purse. I don't even carry a purse.

Welcome to the forum. Is it a compact or full size grip?

That should be more doable than the full size. Here's a good website that may give you a few ideas

I carry my full size 3.8 in a Blackhawk leather IWB @ 3:30 and it's very comfortable.

Hey! I have the XDm compact as well and I love it! the hardest part for me to conceal is how thick it is. I have been carrying a Kahr CM9 for the summer bc It is difficult to carry the XDm in summer clothes.

I have a crossbreed supertuck for the xdm and wear it around 4 o' clock. I have found that the fit of the pants are very important as well as the ride hide of the waist. As a women, we have curves and I found that I had to find the perfect height so that the gun didn't dig into my ribs or my hips.

I think Milt Sparks makes some holsters with the female physique requirements in mind, also for really deep carry try Concealed Carry Holsters | Deep Conceal they are a shoulder type but look more comfortable and much better concealment/support than typical shoulder holsters.
You may have to wear looser clothing to hide the lump of a typical IWB holster. Maybe the N82 Professional model, I find the N82 line very comfortable it backs the entire gun so it won't bite into your hips or ribs and has a suede backing for grip/retention.
Garrett Industries LLC looks good too the Silent Thunder line anyway. I don't know, may be better off listening to the ladies on this one, they have more experience with this stuff.

I have the same exact XDM model. I usually carry at 4:00. You'll just need to try a few different placements on your self to see what works best.

Being that you're in NC, perhaps in the warmer months that LC9 might be a bit easier to conceal.
