simple poll

hi folks,
i want to know what folks here think on this one simple question.

let me preface that i consider gun rights to be a basic human right, i've spent a lot of time perusing Oleg Volk's website and probably most if not all of you know of it, Make a choice
so for me "pro gun" is simply "pro human rights", but rather than get into that detail i will just stick to the more simple terms "pro gun" or "anti gun", just to keep it simple.
i do however think it's an important difference that it's about a human right not about a device, but "human right" covers a zillion things and my topic is on one particular of them, the right to self defense and that a handgun is probably the best tool humans currently have for this.

so what's everyone's opinion on this poll:

cnn is moderate to strongly anti-gun
cnn is mildly anti-gun
cnn is unbiased towards guns
cnn is mildy pro-gun
cnn is moderate to strongly pro-gun

my opinion is that cnn is mildly anti-gun.

i'm not asking for debate on this subject and noone is asked to "prove" anything, i've been watching cnn since their very inception, all the "proof" i need is the news i've watched since 1982. all i am asking is your simple opinion via this poll.

thanks for reading!

Cnn is stronly anti-gun, anti-2A and would have Elmer Fudd in solitary if they could.

as a kid i didn't even know the phrase "anti gun" or such; i had no idea anything of the sort was even a controversy. and being a naive kid i basically thought all "news" was pretty much trying to tell the public the truth, so i believed what i saw, and did not study any of it.

then i saw the early days of Reagan's presidency and consistently saw sam donaldson attack the guy verbally, donadlson was a real p.r.k. and it got me wondering what's the deal here, why isn't this "reporter" simply trying to get the truth out of the president. it's not like this was a 60 minutes story of some coverup or heinous activity. i was probably 17-ish i think?

it was a few years later i graduated college and got my own place, my first goal all along was to pick out a gun for home defense, just as my Dad always had that one gun. so i read articles on guns and began to learn so much more than just what gun is good to have, but all the history of 2A, self-defense, etc. etc.
So along with studying guns themselves, i studied gun rights,

and it wasn't long before i saw how ALL the media i knew of at that time (before fox existed), had intentionally buried and squelched virtually ever "good" gun story - where an armed civilian saved their own life. i never new so many such stories existed, it was a revelation.

now i knew what media to trust and not, at least on the topic of guns and personal rights / safety. like GM not doing a recall on their pickup truck gas tanks placed OUTside the frame on the side, and similar issue with ford pintos getting rear-ended. squelch the truth, intentionally. that's heinous.

fox isn't without bias, they swing right; but they're the only large media org i've yet seen who is even willing to post "good guy" stories of gun use.

if cnn is more strongly anti-gun , anti-2A than i am aware then i am eager to learn; i'll keep my eyes peeled. i will take my time and energy to research it; unlike 3 in another thread i don't demand anyone do my work for me, just post an opinion and i'll do the work to study it. that's how i operate. Thanks for the responses!

The news media (TV News, Cable News, Newspapers) are not in the information business, they are in the entertainment and "opinion shaping" business. They all slant the news, some more than others.

There are two ways to slant the news. 1) only provide one perspective. This is what most people would recognize. 2) a little more subtle and harder to detect is they only cover things that they are interested in. Such as "Homeowner killed with own gun" type of news.

Rush was talking yesterday about the homosexual population in America, how large is it, how accurately people perceived of the size of the homosexual population.

The Homosexual population in this country is about 2-3% by some measures (I think this is still high, I think it is less than 1%). However, surveys show that a large portion of the population (>30%) think that the homosexual population in the US is over 25%! Why would that be? Could the media have something to do with it?
