I like the look of that XD Compact(Sub-Compact, or whatever it's called,LOL) I'd either like one in 9x19mm or maybe if they make it in 45acp that'd be nice as well. IIRC the XDs is suppose to be in 45acp, 5+1 rounds. That might not be too bad of a way to go. Still, in a gun this size the 9x19mm might be a bit more controllable.

Yesterday, sold my Glock 26 G4, then purchased brand new PPQ40 4". Anyway, for me, the XD40sc is a more comfortable grip, than G26G4. ... my 2 cents

I'm a little late to this discussion, and haven't read every post. BUT, fyi when I was looking at the XD9sc / XD40sc, I compared it to my Glock 23. Was looking for something a bit smaller.
It seemed that the barrel was a little shorter, but other dimensions were about the same as the Glock 23. (Which goes hand in hand with an earlier post stating that the grip is a little longer than the G-26).
For concealed carry, I needed something smaller than the G-23, and the XDsc's just weren't small enough to make the change. Ended up with a Kahr for carry when it is warmer, and it has become my edc pretty much year round.
The Glock 23 is a little hard to conceal when wearing anything tucked in like a polo shirt or dress shirt (can be done, just not as easily as some others)....... depending on your daily wear, the XDsc may or may not fit the bill for you.

@ the OP: If you're looking for a XD9SC, I see them used in gun shops all the time. The Gun Warehouse (Bud's Gun Shop) in Lexington, KY has them new for $426 with free shipping.
