Passed my Enhanced Carry Class!!!

I passed my enhanced carry class yesterday! Recieved my certificate & went straight down to the dmv & got my IC sticker placed on the back of my permit. Which allows me to carry a few more places. I'm happy/excited about it. The course was really basic & very easy to pass IMO.

That sounds awesome! Congrats. I didn't know courses like that expanded your right to carry? I figured they were simply for the extra knowledge, and, of course fun. I'm in Texas so I don't know if the concept translates here. Sounds like a good investment though.

I'm not familiar with "enhanced" carry. What exactly is that?

Yeap I'm in MS. Took the class at the Desoto Rifle & Pistol Club range, of which I'm a member but not required to take the class.

So, if you don't mind the full disclosure, what exactly changes having passed such a class?

All it is really is a class that you can take in MS. that allows you to carry in places like schools, places that serve alcohol, goverment buildings (minus court rooms) etc... They just put a red sticker on the back of your permit from the state. IC (instructor certified) which says you have went through a class & have passed. I think it's just a way for the state to get a few extra bucks from you!

Just a few w/o looking at the paper work you can carry in school buildings & sporting events, court houses (not court rooms), places that serve alcohol are just a few that I think of of the top of my head.

Wow, that is awesome! Sounds like it would add a lot of convenience if said rights are elligible from a similar Texas course!

It is fairly new here in MS. which alot of state law makers are not happy about, but if it were up to them they'd just take our guns all together!
