Don't commit the crime if you can't deal with the consequences, including jail time or losing certain rights. I would agree there is room for debate on whether that should only extend to certain (violent?) felonies.

I agree with adyta if someone had tryed to pass all of these gun laws that we have now, a few years after the second amendment was pass they would have been on the bad end of a neck rope swing. As they should be.

Please take a moment to analyze what you just wrote. You not only accept rights can be taken from us, but you also condone it. This to me is one of the most disturbing things of modern times. People sitting back and supporting our rights being stripped from us. Did you know that in some cities you cannot protest without a permit?

With that one simple statement, you just unofficially renounced your U.S. citizenship.

No I didn't. If everyone who did something or made a law someone didn't agree with were subject to capital punishment there would be no lawmakers. If you don't agree with someone or something go out and vote for the appropriate candidate who will uphold your rights as you see fit.

A little emotional, are we? And they say polite political discussion is dead in this country.

It's pretty simple. Don't commit a felony, and you won't have to worry about it. Now if you'll excuse me, apparently I need to make sure my passport is still valid. Good day.

There's a massive difference between making a law people don't like, and making a law that is against the American Constitution. I don't like laws that say I can only go X MPH, but should the guy who made the law be hanged? No. However the guy who made a law in Massachusetts that says you need a license just to OWN guns? Yes, he should swinging on the courthouse lawn.

Who said I didn't vote? As if it even matters. What politician would make it known he wants to drop a massive deuce on the American way of life? It's not like you can pick out the ones who want to uphold rights from the ones who want to take them from us.

Polite political discussion goes out the window when you pretty much yell "Death to America!".

Wow. Gun laws exist to protect the honest Americans from the ones who have no regard for our constitutional rights we all believe in with such vigor. Thugs and felons for the most part should have their civil liberties taken away because of the track record for abiding by the rules. Its not against the constitution to take that away from someone who deserves it.
That type of justice is what makes our country so great.

If you need an example of a public official who wants to deny you those rights you cherish so much: look no further than the biggest, whitest house there is. He has made it quite clear that his intention is to strip you of yours rights. God bless America.
