Sorry, but "everyone" in Germany in the 1930's had a view that was wrong too. Just because all the other lemmings are running, doesn't make it a good direction.
exactly...libtards screwing up Kalifornia..running away to the nearest state they can get to..then commence to screw it up there too

Just take a look at the UK and its police force

Its time for the good people to start doing something...otherwise America WILL look like the UK

Everyone outside the seattle area needs to realize that seattle police have their hands tied to the point that they can't touch ANYONE without an executive order right now. This was basically giving the police permission to do their job. The intent was NEVER to take guns. You can see what they took, sticks, rocks, hammers, and shields. NO firearms. The protesters were intent on tearing down the city and the police weren't allowed to stop it without this order. Washington state is VERY gun friendly, but we have a lot of liberals bent on burning down seattle and dismantling the seattle police department.
+1 The people doing the damage were anarchists bent on destroying as much of the downtown area as they could get away with. Definitely a different breed than either conservatives or liberals.

it seems extreme to me, plus there are existing laws I'm sure they're not utilizing. It would seem they'd be better served catching the people in the act of doing these things and punishing them.

I'm a big proponent for canings, beatings and so on. If he wants to pass a measure it should be something like that "anybody caught defacing, vandalizing or otherwise damaging property for the next 48 hours shall be publicly caned" enforce it a couple times you'd have it under control.

The biggest problem with things like this is they may "seem" reasonable when reading them, but depending on how the officer, each officer, interprets it leaves it open to a lot of abuse. the 2x4 thing for instance, what if the guys carrying lumber to fix his fence? you say they'd never do that, but everybody who's ever been the victim of police abuse/misuse of power thought that at the time.

PS
Seattle just dropped off my list of cities I wanted to visit.

Wow. Surprising in a major American city. Seems awfully counter to the 2nd A.

Actually, you are only 1/2 right. Anarchists are liberals.

Glad Michigan State law has this one...

123.1102 Regulation of pistols or other firearms.
Sec. 2.

A local unit of government shall not impose special taxation on, enact or enforce any ordinance or regulation pertaining to, or regulate in any other manner the ownership, registration, purchase, sale, transfer, transportation, or possession of pistols or other firearms, ammunition for pistols or other firearms, or components of pistols or other firearms, except as otherwise provided by federal law or a law of this state.

Most true anarchists would take offense to being lumped in with Liberals or any other group as they see themselves as a different entity.

There are both left wing and right wing anarchists. Some people are anarcho-communists or anarcho-syndicalists who want a collectized society with no government others are anarcho-capitalists who want a strictly laissez faire free market with no government intervention.

The problem with Anarchy is that it is a revolving door of one failed idealogy after another.

Anarchy is the extreme right. Zero government.
Which leads to rule by strength.
Which leads to rule by autocracy/monarchy.
Which leads to parliamentary.
Which leads to the Republic.
Which leads to democracy. (mob rule)
Which leads to socialism (in it's varied forms from fascism to pure communism)
Which falls and reverts to anarchy.
