So, you weren't issued a employee handbook when you were hired? If not, I doubt they currently have a CCW policy at all anyway. If they give you trouble about violating it they are going to have a tough time firing you because they didn't make the policy clear.
I have the pleasure of owning my own company. Right in my employee handbook is a section on firearms possession at work. I allow concealed carry as long as I am notified of the employees intent. They don't have to notify me every day, just once telling me that they intend to do so at times. In the handbook it is clear that I have the ability to deny the right at any time.
We are in the process of discussions with the current CCW employees to get professional training in group tactics for those that carry. A retail store is a very complicated environment to get into a gun battle and you definitely want to have your ducks in a row if it happens.
