I would love to watch, follow, and observe them bending over to grab a 40lb bag of dog food in the isle or reach up to the top rack to grab the 24 rolls of toilet paper.

I think that a lot of people who do carry their full size pistols are getting away with it because people are completely oblivious but I'm calling B.S. when someone says they do it without a issue what so ever.
Is it really that hard to imagine that some ppl CAN get away with concealing a full size gun?? Ive had no problems concealing my full size guns ( not too comfy) but it can be done.. I reiterate .. almost all.. my 686plus gave me some grief ( handle is too ungodly to not catch my shirt when I bend over. ( summer) As its winter time here I can conceal damned near any handgun. ( carhart bibs and jacket can hide lots of things!) but even in the summer I havnt had much problem with my xdm 40 4.5 in an iwb at about 4 o clock with a good heavy cant. so its not impossible its just not really easily done. For the record id say my 1911 is the easiest to conceal out of my full size guns!

Quick Update:

I bought a holster from SHTF gear 3 weeks ago and it arrived in the mail yesterday. I have been playing with the cant and I think I have my full size XDm fairly well concealed.

I would much rather have the compact XDm, but just can't afford it right now. The full size is fairly easy to conceal, but you still have to be careful because the handle is pretty long.

I carry my xdm40 4.5" every day IWB in a Crossbreed SuperTuck around 4:30-5:00

Only down fall i have to the 4.5" is depending on which pants I have on, mainly older jeans, the barrel actually has worn a small hole in the pants...

Other than that, as others have stated, good holster/belt you are gtg.

Yes, I can see where it may eventually wear a hole in my pants.

The bottom of my crossbreed clips has a pretty sharp corner edge that I didn't notice until I wore a hole into 2 pair of jeans. I thought it was the barrel at first, but then noticed it was right where the bottom of the clip was instead. I have since covered the bottom of the clip with electrical tape and haven't had any issues since; not even any wear marks.

Nice thing about MI, printing is not a legal issue... I 90% of the time carry OWB with a long shirt over it. Prints big time, and I really don't care. Have the CB IWB, I'm less comfortable with that carry over the OWB, but there are times I don't even want to bother, just in case someone thinks it's an issue.

I CC with the 4.5 9mm XDm using the holster they gave me with the gun and as long as i wear a long enough shirt my girlfriend does not even know when i am carrying. the only time she does realize it is if i bend over to pick something up.

I IWB carry with the crossbreed supertuck at about 5:00 with my xdm 40 and it works just fine. For me the hardest part was figuring out what clothes covered better than others, so experiment at home and you will be fine.
