However, each state is different.
On another note, some private gun clubs and ranges will not allow "Green Card" holders to join and shoot at their club.

Thanks guys, on a different note. I just got back from Lander. I finally worked up the nerve to Open Carry. I didn't know what the policy for the bank was so I let the Iron in the car at the bank but did take in an empty holster, discretely re-holstered in the parking lot. Then I went to McDonald's (I didn't use the drive-through) I ordered food and waited for my order. I then went to the Maverik gas station and paid for gas then I stood outside while I was pumping gas. The iron was in it's holster and nobody seemed to care that I was pumping gas with it.
It was mostly a good experience I was very nervous, my hand is still shaking from how nervous I was, doing this ( although I know it is legal). But nobody gave me a second look and nobody seemed to mind me walking in to their business with a holstered firearm. No busybodies asking why I was carrying and no one called the cops on me. It was an overall great experience.

They are the Concealed Firearms Permits authority in Wyoming.
I was told that the Wyoming Statute reads "Must be a permanent resident of the United States" ergo a person with a green card (permanent resident card) can obtain a Concealed Firearms Permit. I was also told that thanks to the constitutional carry law I can legally carry concealed without a permit as long as I meet the requirements, Over 21, Resident of Wyoming for more than 90 days, no felonies... I was also informed that I need to have a hunter safety certificate before I apply for it. But all in all the answer was YES a person with a green card can obtain a Concealed Firearms Permit in Wyoming. I was also told since the card expires in five years and I only have a couple years until I get full citizenship I am obligated to notify them of the change in status so they can update the permit with that information.

Seriously? Those would probably be the same hicks who can't get it in their heads that there are LEGAL aliens, too. I can understand if people dislike illegals coming across the border and breaking the law but to discriminate against somebody who spent thousands of dollars and several years on the proper legal process is ... asinine.

The OP said your were looking for info on getting a CCL...I know youve since said that you found your answer. But this site has some good basic info on carrying from state to state. Concealed Carry, Concealed Carry Reciprocity Maps, Concealed Weapons Permit Info
Good luck on getting your citizenship.

More power for ALL people who are able to carry. If your legal to own, then your legal to carry!

First allow me to congratulate you on your determination to make a better life for you and your family.
In regards to legal aliens having a cpl; The second amendment of the constitution protects all who live in this country and not just the citizens. If you are here legally, then there is no federal law that prohibits you from keeping or bearing arms.
The state of Montana (where you live) is the governing authority, and has the final stay regarding your ownership and right to carry.
I look forward to reading your post when you graduate, and when you apply for, and awarded citizenship in this great country.
God bless.

It is my understanding that nowadays, you do not NEED a ccw permit to ccw in Wyoming, just as you do not in AZ, Alaska, or VT. We need far more states to follow the Constitution, as they are supposed to do!

Correct. As long as you are a RESIDENT of Wyoming you do not need a permit. Non residents however do. Which if you ask me is in violation of the 14th amendment. AZ and AK allow concealed carry as long as you legally can have the pistol (still must be 21). VT is the same except you do not need to be 21 and they have the least amount of pistol free zones. To me VT has the best, true, constitutional carry.
