Great news! Checked today and my license is manufacturing! Took the class 3/12 and shot 250/250 with my XD9 Service. Pretty stoked to get it in the mail. I bought a crossbreed super tuck from the last blem sale and have been carrying in my apartment to get used to it. 2 months and the room mates haven't said anything. Ready to do my Wally Walk

Got mine in almost 2 weeks ago took almost 2 months. They claimed due to a back log of a large amount of people submitting papaer work.

Austin received packets 3-8-11, one son got his 4-30-11, the other son got his 5-2-11, wife got hers 5-4-11, finally got mine 5-11-11. I am extremely excited about finally having it in my wallet.

I live in Texas....Georgia CHL
Im currently deployed to Afgahnistan on my 3rd deploymet. I bought a XD 9mm subcompact while on leave. I know Texas honors the Georgia CHL and my liscense is good until 2014 ish. Any advice on carrying. I wasnt in Texas long enough to carry before I got deployed.

You need to get at least 175/250 or 75% (8, 9 and 10 rings = 5 points, 7 ring = 4 points, outside rings on the silhouette target = 3 points) IMO it's REALLY easy to pass even if you have basic knowledge of your gun. If not, just go to the range and get some practice in. I shot my shooting test with my XD40.
