Spydered: thanks!

XD_9Shooter: Congrats on the 100% on the test! It's a lot of info to stuff in there, isn't it? I'm down in Summerville. I went to a "full service" class, did the fingerprinting right there and they sent in all the paperwork for me along with the fee. They told us that the SLED people have informed them that due to budget cuts a CWP is running about 115 days right now. Sucks hard, but hopefully it'll show up eventually.

enjay, welcome to the forum from another South Carolinian. I'm in the upstate and took my class the first part of December. It took exactly 67 days from the time they received my application until I had my CWP in hand.

I just took my class with BELT last month. They are awesome! They did everything for us that day. They sealed and mailed the package to SLED the same day. I'm looking forward to getting my package back.

The training was related to real life situations and not just dry reading from the book. They really take pride in helping people that want to get their CCW and not just taking your $$$. Well worth the $$$ and I'm also thinking of going back for the advanced class. Worth it for the knowledge and for the free home cooked meal that was included.

CWP - BELT range qualification

Hi enjay, 84bronze and any others who attended BELT for the CWP class,

I am taking the CWP course at BELT on July 7th and would love to have an understanding of how the range quailification process was. My understanding of the requirements is shooting from 3,5,7,10, 12 and 15 yds. I have got some mixed info about how many shots are taken and from what positions. Any information you can share would be much appreciated. Thanks very much.
