Large Frame CCWers
I know we all have our own style of CCW and what we consider comfortable as well as what level of discomfort we consider intolerable.
I read posts all the time that describe a person's need for a smaller/lighter pistol for CCW because their service Glock or XD is too big/heavy. I always felt odd reading them because I CCW an XD Tactical every day, everywhere. A LEO friend of mine asked me "how do you carry that thing in the summer with a t-shirt?" When I told him with a IWB holster he replied, "isn't that uncomfortable?" I asked him if his vest was uncomfortable or if his seat belt was uncomfortable? "Sometimes they are", he said, "but I still wear them for my safety." To which I replied, "exactly."
My question is who else out there CCWs a large handgun? What other big pistols are being carried on you folks?

My CZ P07 is my other CCW. Its actually the same size as my XD9sc. They arent exactly "large guns" but they arent "pocket guns" either...

I will eventually add my Taurus Polymer Public Defender to my CC rotation as soon as I find a decent holster for it. Overall length and height are similar to a Glock 19, but it's a bit thicker.
I CC all my guns OWB with an untucked, unbuttoned button up shirt, as IWB holsters have never been comfortable for me.

I've carried my XDm 45 full size recently and too my surprise it's no more uncomfortable than my sub-compact .40. I care more about the grip sticking out than being uncomfortable it's that good.

XDM9 in CBST...I get used to it as the gun settles in to my side, but hopefully in the next year I can afford to get a XDM9c...I like a shorter grip.

My main carry weapon is an xd40sc in a cbst. I can also carry my xd9 service in the same setup and not feel any difference at all. I had an xd40 tactical that I just got rid of because it is simply too big to serve any purpose for me. If I'm going to carry a full size 5 inch pistol, a 1911 is the only thing going on my side. Not some plastic toy. (obviously I like plastic toys as the xd40sc is my favorite carry gun. But its really nice to carry around a 1911)
