CPL Ingham

I have had mine for 4 1/2 years. It took Ingham county 4 weeks to process. I am due to renew in a couple of months.

Kent County ccw Process is stupid slow

I applied and got finger printed in the second week of September of 2011 in Kent County. Paid the $110.00 fee and jumped through all the hoops but got the application turned in. I waited the last two weeks of Sept, and Oct, and Nov. and Dec. I called Kent County the second week of Jan (a full 4 months later) got the run around then got a number to the sheriffs office. Called them and talk to "Joan" ( took 3 days to get ahold of her) who told me she doesnt get much time to work on them and they are a very low priority since the sheriff is so under staffed. She confirmed that she had my application but was waiting for other local police agency's to send her reports on me. (note: ive had 2 speeding tickets in my entire life and that's the extent of my involvement with the police or any law enforcement). Its now the end of February and still no word. 2 more weeks will be 6 Months.....I'm not happy to say the least. After the $120 for the class, $15 for passport photos, $110 for Kent County plus the 8 hrs of my life spend in class and another 4 filling out paperwork, driving, and waiting to get finger printed, i figure i have $600 tied up in this at the very least counting my time. Nothing to show for it. Does anyone think that they are stalling this on purpose? I do.

Yes they are. They do it to everyone in Kent Co. though it's not just you.
