fair enough, and if you choose to CC i'm not going to fault you for that. However, I want to make sure you're aware that in pa you don't have to hide the gun if you don't want to

I CC because I just don't want the hassle involved with open carry and people staring and pointing.

Oh I know that PA is open carry. But then if I do that, I have to worry about people freaking out about seeing the gun and calling the cops. Although its legal for me to carry it, they can still write me up for disturbing the peace, etc. Then I have to go in front of a judge and deal with all that bs.

So I think I decided on a holster that will work and fits in my budget..

Don Hume Clip-On Inside The Waistband Holster (H715M-WC)

Thoughts?

Like I said my buddy that's a LEO uses one just like it when he's off duty for CC...

Not my taste personally (I'd want something you can tuck your shirt in with) but if it works for you go for it. It's WAY better than that other thing you had!

1911 carry!

Sorry for the slight hijack, but I always carry both my XD and Glock with one in the chamber without the slightest hesitation. But I just got a nice 1911 and started carrying it. I keep one in the chamber but just feel wierd keeping the guns safety off after seeing that "Hammer" cocked back. Anyone else make this exception when it comes to 1911's? I don't care for manual safety's as I'd probably forget to take it off when adrenaline starts pumping and seconds count.
Thanks.

Like I've said before...I'm relatively new to carrying. I've had my LTCF for almost a month now. I always carry +1. It's really not a big deal to me anymore. I don't forget the guns there...probly b/c my holster is not comfortable...but I dont agnonize over the one in the chamber deal.

Be confident that your gun is not gonna fire unless you pull the trigger.
