Curios and Relics License question
I am in Raleigh, NC. I printed and filled out the Curios and Relics License. My question is that in the instructions #3 says to submit a copy of this form to the Cheif Law Enforcement Officer in my county. I got the name and address online. Do I have to mail anything else with this or will they know what to do when it shows up in the mail?

I too just mailed in my CLEO copy. I did not include anything extra, read about others who write a letter or an intro. I figure if they have any questions my phone # is on the copy.

A copy goes to your local CLEO... in my case our county Sheriff. I dropped it off in person, but mailing it is pkay... no one has even asked me any questions about why I'm dropping it off. This needs to be done for both the initial C&R application and subsequent C&R renewals.
IIRC, there is a portion of the original hard copy application that you separate at the perforations and hand over to the local LEOs.

Since I live in an unincorporated part of the county, no local LEO, so I sent mine to the county sheriff. I included a cover letter explaining why I was sending it just in case I got a clerk who had never seen one. Have never had any questions or problems so I assume they knew what to do.
