I can't hit squat with mine (seemed to hit really high), but as an example of a unique design it's a pretty cool little wheelgun. The double-action trigger is horrendously heavy, but the single-action isn't bad. Ammo's a bit pricey to use just for fun plinking. Mine basically lives in my safe but I haven't got the heart to sell it just yet.

Mine is more accurate with 32S&W longs than the 7.62x38R ammo being sold. I have also killed a good bit of vermin with mine and even a coyote with a 32H&Rmag 85 grain XTP. The H&R mag is right on par with original Nagant spec ammo.
Mine mostly gets used for rabbits. The SA is crisp and breaks clean even though it is a little heavy. Firing DA at 7 yards I can put a cylinder into 4" with the 32H&R mags.
Nice little fungun for sure. I got mine for less than a bill OTD at my local dealer.....

Hey guys,
I'm a new member, just joined this evening actually because of this thread.
I am really interested in the WWII Russian firearms that are widespread on the market this days with a focus on Mosin Nagant rifles and '95 Nagant revolvers. If there is any time of rifle I want, its a Mosin and likewise if there is any type of pistol I want its a Nagant revolver.
I've been on the prowl for these revolvers and I was amazed to see how cheaply they're being sold online. Granted I do not have a C&R so the hassle of dealing with an FFL transfer fee would easily double the price therefore eliminating any good deal with a cheap pistol like the Nagant. And unfortunately I haven't seen too many of these pistols turn up at local gun shows and gun shops either which I find so strange. And being that I am fairly new to gun collecting I do not know the ins and outs of going about purchasing firearms from private dealers (Craigslist is about the extent of it and that has been failing miserably). So for the time being gun shows will have to suffice and hopefully I'll find a good deal on a Nagant revolver or Mosin as I am completely infatuated with these two guns.
I've heard some interesting things about the Nagant revolver. The trigger pull is tremendous which turns away a lot of shooters and the round it fires is apparently pretty weak, not to mention very uniquely shaped. But I suppose its really the luck of the draw with these pistols because I've heard reports from some owners that theirs have relatively normal trigger pulls (about 12 pounds) and that the surplus 7.62x38R performs better than the domestic cartridges. I'd really love to get my hands on one and take it out to the range to find out for myself.

I moved to AZ about 6 yrs ago, in Colorado now, but as soon as I got my AZ drivers license I went to J&G and bought a 1932 Nagant revolver to add to my Russian collection! Yeah, its not a great caliber or all around pistol for that matter, but it is an outstanding piece of Russian history and a very unique weapon. I love mine, paid $89 at the time. Sweet little pistol!

I just bought one from J&G, $99 + $10 for a Tula +$22 shipping = $131. The last 2 gun shows I went to had 3 or 4 for sale at $150 to $230. Couldn't find any ammo at the shows but ordered some on line. I should get it in a few days.
There is a discussion on one of the forums about putting a nut or bullet under the leaf spring that will greatly decrease the trigger pull. When I find it I'll try to post it here.

Boris, did you swap the cylinder to fire the 32S&W longs?? Mine is pretty accurate and ever now and then it gets taken to the range but I have it mostly for novelty purposes to go with the Mosin long gun.
