I love C&R's as much as the next guy, but I don't see the point in cluttering up the forum's main page with all the forums that won't be used much. Especially since this is a forum geared towards a specific handgun.

I'm glad to see this C&R forum on the front page. I like my XD, but I only have one of them. I have a bunch of C&R rifles, however. I also noticed a bunch of new sub-forums for guns that I don't own. I probably won't be visiting those forums so much, but I'm not upset that they exist to 'clutter' up the joint. Instead, I will be happy for others that they also have a separate playground for their own toys.

It is smarter to light a candle than to complain about the darkness.

Yep, I admit that I have a huge collection of C&R guns and ammo.

Mausers, Enfields, Mosins, Garand, M-1 Carbine, SKSs, Luger, Makarov, Arisaka, M-95 Steyr and others.

So I just ordered the forms to get my C&R FFL. From the research I've done you have to send a signed copy of the application to the Chief LEO (would that be County Sheriff or City police?).

Anything else I should know?

No, I just sent mine in the mail today. Filled out both forms exactly the same, wrote in my Credit card info and $30 fee on the ATF form, and sent one to the ATF and the other to CLEO with a cover letter "Chief xxxx, here is my application per BATF regs that I send you blah blah, requires no action on your part blah blah Respectfully FU Achped"

You don't need a notary or anything, I was surprised.
