Brand new site of HS product show finally some clear image of the latest version of their VHS.

It still not clear if it will be for export only or if it will be adopted also by croatian army.

Main change it is that now it has ambidextrous ejection mechanism.
It look also cooler, more agressive and not similar to FAMAS in its exterior aspect but that appear only cosmetic changes as it has lose some useful space for rails a the carring guard side and the aims for rifle granades in the process.

VHS stand for Višenamjerska Hrvatska Strojnica: multifunctional croatian rifle (or better volleyfiregun) and the main idea about it is precisely to develop a rifle in which you can attach a whole lotta of things on with rails or clip-ons without modify impairing its overall portability and ease to use (unlike m-4 SOPMOD for an example) and to adapt to the whole array of magazines and accessory on the market (that are the real reason of M-4 sussess in special forces community).

The latest news are directly from yesterday/s Split defence exhibition ASDA:
Surprise, surprise: it is not a version for export, it the definitive version with clip ons interchangeable carring handles.

Some examples:

G-36 style:

Granade launcher (and bayonet).

(The lady is actual croatian prime minister, the man is Marko VUkotic itself i.e. XD and VHS daddy).

Famas style (standard for croatian army):

Actually it is the version that needs more extensive changes as you have to remove the lower handguard and put it instead but also in this case it is a clip on accessory and you can still use the rail immediately above it, as in picture.

However the real yesterday novelty is there:

In this image you can argue because Croatian military stand forth for the "uncoll" Famas style handle: just count the sheer numbers of rail and accessories you can put on it.

Opps! I was wrong and i'm happy about it

It seems there is not a G-36 version and a FAMAS version, only pure genius.

I mistakly assumed that they have put some kind of reinforcement under the Famas version and that it is possible to leave all the carring handle off and put G-36 rail or the IRB sight on as AN ALTERNATIVE.

Much more subtle, Jeeves: reinforcement IS the G-36 rail: Look at the HS markings on the rail and to the two screw in the rear column for a reference

Step Three: take Step One and put FAMAS Handle DIRECTLY on it! :cantbeli:

: Rail, more rail, full rails.

So, you won't have to choose between two version and after maybe get deluded, you can change frames even on field according to the situation and accessories.

On this it was explained that the integral sight we mentioned before was developed by Rudjer Boskovic institute and feature a red dot sight with a magnification ranging between 1.5x to 3x and being larger than the carrin handle it can be inserted over it in same way the carring handle get with the basic rail.

IRD sight also can be clip-connected in the same way: it is however connected to the FAMAS looking handle and covers completely the said HS marking.

You can also see how the grenade launcher work, flips to the side but ir remains in axle with barrel unlike HK one.
