Swap out an Accustock for a Choate, or no?

Had a Choate Savage about a year and a half ago, and sold it. I recently picked up a Savage 5r with an Accustock that shoots fine.

However, I *kinda* have the mod bug, and have been thinking about anothe Choate. They are only about $200ish new. If I left it alone, I'd do just that - leave it alone.

If I swapped out the stock, I'd probably get a bigger bolt handle for easier chambering,as well as a "Fred Sled" from SSS, and a nice cheekrest for it. She's just a paper puncher wearing a swfa SS16x on it and a bipod

if you're really in the mood for modding....and being a Savage fan, that kind of goes with the territory, go for it, you can always use or sell the Accustock later

Choate is OK. HS Precision makes one also.

the accustock has the advantage of being adjustable.
If the choate fits you and works for you, then go for it.

For the money, I personally would go with Bell & Carlson. I seen a Chote the other day and for bedding purposes, I wouldn't have the stock. I would stick with the Accu-Stock before I opted for a Chote. The stock I seen places way to much stress on the action. JM2C, for what it is worth.

Bell & Carlson would be a better option, especially if you are going to bed it.

The stock that I seen was a sniper center feed.
