Mosin/Nagant 91/30
What do y'all think about them? Cabella's has a bunch at $150. I was thinking it'd be a cool old gun to shoot and have fun with, and a good price to do it at. Any one have any experience with them or advice on what to look/watch out for? Thanks

Buds sells them for about $130 something delivered. The surplus ammo sucks and you need to clean it specially, but it's worth it for ~$.18 a shot (cheaper than my 9mm). Great guns, if you get a good one they are super accurate with just iron sights, and there are cheap forward relief scopes for them.

I've heard nothing but good things about them, and the LGS has them for around $100-$120, so I've been thinking about picking one up. I'd be a little nervous buying one online though. Seems you're just as likely to get a bad one as a good one.

Prices have already gone up on them. They will never be super expensive collectibles but they won't get any cheaper either.
I have one and it really is a fun gun to shoot. It is hard to explain but running a bolt action rifle does have something to it that a semi auto just doesn't give you. Get one!

My buddy has one and we shoot it often. It's a lot of fun. Do it.

i agree these are great rifles! i have owned mine for a little over three years now and love it. use it deer hunting ,coyote, groundhogs, and lots of target practice! i do recommend you buy one in person so you can inspect it yourself. when they stored these guns years ago they were pack in cosmaline. some are worse then others and if ya get a good one you will diffidently love it!! i hit up gun shows and buy surplus ammo in bulk(1000 round case was 150 bucks)! its hard to beat a M91/30!!

I've purchased 4 through classicarms.com, all for under $100 and am happy with each one.

great rifles that you can get cheap. Don't own one, but I was the one who talked a friend into getting one. Only reason I didn't was we were in the store, with my wife, to pick up another gun I had ordered
