looking for a long range .308/7.62 nato at a decent prices
who to go with remington 700( how much of an accuracy change in the different models), ruger american rifle, howa 1500(tactical) savage im also open to suggestions
who has the best warranty, accuracy, dependability and wont wear out to fast before optics or anything just the rifle im looking to keep it at 750 or less

I'm partial to Savage. I've got a 10 FP in .308 with a 24" heavy barrel and the accu-trigger. I haven't tried their accu-stock, but the accu-trigger is nice. My original stock was awful and had to be replaced, but after that I've done little tweaking and it's been very accurate out of the box.

Howa are very good guns....That being said, I bought a Savage 11 because, if/when I have money, I can upgrade it into something really special, by my self

The SBS is a good model to start with. At some point you may want to invest in a stock with less flex but the SBS will outshoot most people right out of the box.

Savage 10 is the way I would go.
forgo the tacti-kool crap. put a good scope and ring combination on it.
After you get your loads dialed in for what the rifle likes, then consider upgrades.

I've got a Howa 1500 and it shoots very well out to the 300 yards I've shot it. Ive also shot the 700 varmint in 22-250 and it was quite the tack driver at around 150 yards. I like my Howa better then the 700 I shot though.

i would love a 700 but the howa is much cheaper and im not really worried about resell value cuz i keep what i buy lol but we will see unless i see big price drops
