Well I just ordered my new rifle. Went with a Savage 111 with detachable magazine, accutrigger, and accustock. Oh, and 30-06 caliber.
I already have a 4-16x Millet tactical rifle scope that I use on my AR-15; my plan is to reassign that scope to the new bolt gun and just use open sights on the AR. So once the rifle gets here all I will need is some scope rings and a bipod.

you'll love your savage. and if you ever want to swap barrels (like I plan to in the near future) you love how easy it is for anyone with a little mechanical ability to do. 30-06 is a great round, I just like 308 because the recoil is less, and for my uses, it doesn't give up much on the 30-06.
Enjoy the Savage!
