CZ-Bolt Action.
Anybody have/had one. Thoughts?
My lgs is now apparently a CZ dealer. Looked at their 550 varmint.
And, I have to admit I really liked it. Available in .22-250 and .308. I have a .22-250 already. Don't own anything now in .308.
He is supposed to get a shipment the first of February. Should have some 527 in there. He did mention he ordered a couple in .204. And I am interested in this round.
I wasn't in the market for another rifle. I normally buy older Rugers. But something about these rifles intrigues me.
I did try to search, just wasn't finding anything related to the bolt actions.

CZ makes very solid firearms. I have used there rifles before they are very nice i have been wanting to buy a 22lr bolt action from them for a while. They shoot well also.

I have a CZ 452 .22lr rimfire. It is my absolute favorite gun to shoot period. I've been wanting one of those 527 carbines for a while now.

CZ is probably one of the best gun makers in the world that nobody in America knows about.

When our son was shooting rimfire in 4H competitions we started with the CZ 452 Scout and then upgraded to the Lux model. He won 1st place in state our second year shooting a CZ, tight groups. From our research they make a fine bolt action rifle for the money. We quit shooting 4H due to the pistol age restrictions, 14 y/o and are doing USPSA shooting with no looking back.

correct me if I'm wrong, I taking word of mouth here from a guy that owned one. I was told the early CZs were made by a custom gun maker in Montana while CZ was getting all the import deals straightened out. Other than that, i cant speak to their quality.

CZ 452 can easily shoot the primers out of .223 brass and do it consistently. One of the most accurate guns I've ever shot.

You can't go wrong with a CZ. The only thing negative I can think about their centerfire rifles is that they're a bit heavy.
I have several CZ rimfires and they'll shoot almost as well as my Anschutz that costs almost three times as much. The triggers aren't as refined, but you can improve them a great deal with a little work.

I installed a YoDave trigger kit on mine, didn't even need the shim, just a slightly lighter spring. Very simple to install. A $20 trigger kit that took about 10 minutes to install and my CZ now has a great trigger.
