Those 200-300 dollar scopes are nice.....but im not looking to put THAT much money into it since the rifle itself isnt worth that much.....im just looking for something that can be accurate out to 400....maybe 500 yards thats around 100 dollars.....does this product exist???

If you can afford it, get a decent scope. Even if it’s a cheap gun, it’s a good investment and can be used on other projects. There are a lot of good scopes in the 2-400 range.

Great advice. besides, then there's an excuse to buy a rifle that deserves the scope. the scopes I'm looking at are in the 180-350 dollar range. down to 4 scopes, maybe 5

My vote would be for the Vortex. Check out their VIP warranty. Ive heard good things about them. I wanted the Viper PST. I ended up with a Leupold MR/T because the PST had not come out yet. I got a chance to look at one at a 3 gun match and really liked it.

I have a barska huntmaster pro on my axis .308. Great scope for only 70 bucks. I shot my best group with it which was 4 shots at 100 yds .397" hole. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I got my Burris pretty cheap when that model was discontinued. I think it was about $120 for my 2-7x
