I shot a gun with one of these the other day and I was impressed.
Nikon Monarch Rifle Scope
The price and magnification is about the same but it has side focus and the glass is very crisp.

SWFA Super Sniper

I just got one and I absolutely love it. 155moa of elevation adjustment, clear glass, audible adjustments, and it tracks well.

The 3200 is a good scope but doesn't have a lot of elevation. If you are planning to shoot beyond 500 yards you are going to need an MOA base with that scope and are pretty much limited to 1000 and under with that setup. As Shay said, the SS line has a lot more elevation.

Other than limited elevation, the 3200 Tacs are good scopes.

I have a 3200 and its a decent setup. I.E. It will get you by out to 600 yards or so with a .308. Clarity is alright, tracks well, crisp adjustments, but its not a good 1000 yarder at all. Super Sniper would be a way better choice and I will put one on my 700 once I get a new rifle for my 3200. (Can't just have extra scopes lieing around )

What kind of shooting are you doing? Known distance? Unknown distance?

Nothing wrong with fixed. You should probably look at 16x scopes. 10x might be a little light for 800.
