If you arent going to the sandbox for combat duty you dont have too or need to spend a fortune on the "best" stuff.

YHM makes very good stuff. Maybe not the "best", but it works well and looks great. Refer again to top post about "best" stuff.

YHM parts are very good for the money. As asked before, figure out what it is you need for an offset mount. Maybe you want to offset a Red dot? Maybe a tactical light?

Strictly my opinion and I do not want to cause an argument here.
Why would you want a sling on a home defense weapon? You arent carrying the weapon anywhere and the sling just might cause you to get tangled up in a dark/dimly lit home. I say leave the sling off.

I use the CAA 6 position stock. Works fine for me and is about $75

Again, only my opinion but you asked and I hope my reply is ok to give.
A home defense weapon, which is what I think you are intending it for as you certainly wont be carrying it concealed outside the home, should be a very simple and quick to use weapon.
You dont need gadgets hanging off of it. Build it with good reliable parts, mount a light with a remote pressure switch so you can turn on the light without losing use of a hand, mount a red dot or EoTech type holographic sight for quick target aquisition. If it is for inside home use only you wont need expensive iron sights at that distance.
Now, if you plan to use it outside the home and at longer distances, get better quality iron sights and a scope with at least 4x power and then maybe think about a sling if you plan to have a backup handgun to use.
