I am sure the S&W is a fine product, but I like Rock River Arms for the following reasons:
1. Accuracy guaranteed, degree of accuracy depends on the model. Not many mass producers have accuracy guaranties
2. Unambiguous Lifetime warranty (S&W can be ambiguous)
3. Hand fit upper and lower on Varmint/Match models, as well as stripped upper/lower hand fit matched sets
4. Excellent two stage match trigger (included on all of my RRA rifles)
5. Tighter upper lower fit even on base models I have examined (RRA pride themselves with close tolerances)
6. Wilson barrels with many options: air-guaged, Wylde chamber, stainless steel, different barrel lengths, midlength gas sytem option
7. Custom ordering of any configuration. The mad rush has killed the wait time though
8. Clean lower receiver holes
9. High quality supplied magazine (NHMTG)
10. Safety, trigger, trigger guard, stock, mag release, handguard/rail, and latch options
11. Multi caliber options (one example: RRA can sell you a dedicated 9mm lower)
12. Full online parts availability, ease of ordering (I never had a problem)
13. Excellent support and service
14. Informative and well-written catalog
15. Selected by DEA and FBI as 5 year primary supplier (extreme durability trials)

2. Unambiguous Lifetime warranty - I can take a dump in a box for you and mark it guaranteed if you want, Ive got the time (credit to Tommy boy Chalhoon)
3. Hand fit upper and lower on Varmint/Match models - he is only looking at a lower this does not apply
4. Excellent two stage match trigger included only if you purchase one with the NM 2 stage trigger installed
5. Tighter upper lower fit even on base models I have examined see #3
6. Wilson barrels with many options: air-guaged, Wylde chamber, stainless steel, different barrel lengths, midlength gas sytem option see #3
7. Custom ordering of any configuration. The mad rush has killed the wait time though - AGAin see #3
8. Clean lower receiver holes - most of them do
9. High quality supplied magazine (NHMTG) - only when buying a complete rifle and even then its still up for debate
10. Safety, trigger guard, handguard/rail, and latch options see #3
11. Multi caliber options most all companies will make a lower marked Muli Caliber
12. Full online parts availability, ease of ordering nothing is easy to find these days
13. Excellent support and service S&W has excellent customer service as well.
14. Informative and well-written catalog
15. Selected by DEA (extreme durability trials)Most LEO agencies contract DPMS that doesn't make them better bureaucrats set the budgets restraints that force agencys to get the best bang for the buck not necessarily the best thing out there

my comments in Red and I still say a lower is a lower is a lower since the better deal is the RRA I say get it if the S&W was better i would say go for the Smith

Apparently picking apart people's experiences item-by-item is in vogue around here, but I won't even get started with this broad generalization.

Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.

In the context of this discussion, it is certainly not a broad generalization. Everything you mentioned about RRA is all well and good, but it doesn't have a whole lot to do with whether he should get the RRA complete lower or the S&W stripped lower. In the context of all lowers, sure, there are differences. You've got cast, forged, billet, etc. Both the RRA and S&W are quality forged pieces and there will be zero functional difference between them. End of story.
The OP should get the best value (which in this case is the RRA).
