Anyone using a Fenix TK10 with their AR?

Hello all,

After doing a little bit of reading and research on flashlights, I went with the Fenix TK10 from www.FenixStore.com. This thing seems like the bang-for-the-buck sweet-spot as it goes for durable flashlights and I'm excited to get it in.

Since I bought this light with the intention of mounting it to my AR, I wanted to see if anyone else on XDTalk (I still haven't joined up on AR15.com) has mounted a TK10 to their AR? I have a quad-rail setup.

If so, what mount did you use?

How well does it fit?

Thanks much,

Mr00000

I've seen some nice mounts with 1" scope rings. The downside is it does not have a mod (easy one that is) for a pressure switch; you will have to poke the button while it's attached. If you are using it as a mounted like only I'd take a look at some of the Surefire G models that have pressure switch mods and a good record of absorbing the blast effects.

I love my TK10 as a handheld tac light. If you plan on using it as a multi-role item then buy it and enjoy.

You'll need an "offset" mount to reach the button easier.

This one is a Daniel Defense with a Pentagon light.

Thank you for the reply, Polykarp. Just to confirm, the body diameter of the TK10 is 1"? I thought it was, but any measurements I've found online always quote 35mm - which I'm figuring is the head diameter.

I want to give it a go as a weapon-mounted light. I know it isn't as proven as Surefire (yet) but the reviews I've read cite some pretty impressive durability.

As it goes for the pressure switch, I think I can live without it since I'm planning on getting a vertical foregrip and using an offset mount (as long as it is 1") to put the button right near my thumb.

Thanks again,

Mr00000

nice choice of a light, if I had to pick just one light right now, regardless of price, I would choose the TK-10 over all others.
