50 Yard IBZ
The guys at Arfcom seem to love the 50 yard Improved Battlesight Zero.
1. How would I achieve the 50 yard zero described in this article with a Midwest Industries BUIS that has no elevation drum? 2. If such is not possible, what are my other options? Could I manage to get a 25 meter zero? And, since I don't know as much about ARs as I sometimes think I do: 3. Which way do I rotate the front sight if bullets are striking low on the target? Thanks guys.

1. adjust your front sight-post...if you have no adjustment on both front and rear, i suggest some different buis.
2. 50 yard ibz is great because it will hit p.o.a. at 50 and 200 yards...aim about an inch low on the target to hit at 100 yards. the maryland ar shooter's forum has a great ballistics write-up on this... 3. i don't know rotating...i think right to go up, but i can't remember

Your front sight base should have an arrow indicating up. Rotate in the direction of "up" to move the strike of the bullet up. When you see indicating arrows on AR sights it (usually) means that you are moving the strike of the bullet in the direction that it's indicating.
Our BZO was always carried out at 36 yards or 300 yards but what that website says makes sense. That would probably be a more "realistic" BZO for most folks out there.

Standard FSB is marked which way to turn post
To raise the point of impact turn the FSP clockwise lowering the post in the base.
