The ban will allow you to keep any guns you already own. So my question is how much do you have to own? Since you register the lower is that all you have to have? Or in other words will I be able to buy several lowers.....then IF the ban comes back will I be able to complete the guns? The reason I'm asking is because I cant afford to buy 3 complete ar's now. But I can buy 3 lowers now. What do yall think?

Im actually thinking about doing this too... Especially being in california and all.

Im tossing around the idea of buying 3 more stripped lowers and 3 bare AK receivers.. Maybe to 47's and one 74. That way I can build them at a later date.

This would put me at a total battle rifle count of 5 AR's and 3 AK's (havent built an AK yet) and one SKS.

Man, I gotta get me an M1A!

i allready have my extra Mega lower, my brother is buying his POF lower soon...then he will build an AR at a later date.

The next ban is going to be ugly. Worse than anything we have seen in the past. I doubt you will be allowed to register lowers only, probably just complete weapons.

Also, I have heard that instead of having a "banned list"... they will have a "legal to own list" so that means a gun would have to get approved to be on the list.

At this point, their are only two bills regarding Assault Weapon Bans in congress: Opencongress.org
And by the way, some congressmen tried to out law opencongress.org so the people couldn't watch their voting.

Not calling them "assault rifles" would help. That name was given to these guns by the same people who want them banned. They are semi auto rifles. Also, a weapons ban is not even a sure thing at this point. I wouldn't think buying a few lowers could hurt considering how inexpensive they are.
