After the DC ruling, I have to think that any ban will be on what the call "high capacity" mags and ammo.

No one really knows how any new law will be written. However, during the last ban, ATF said it had to have been a complete rifle before the ban. Proving that it wasn't would be hard, but I would try to finish at least one of them. I currently have one complete AR (mid-length carbine) and a new lower in route now. I plan to build that one out by the end of the year (an M4gery). I am considering buying one more lower to just stick in the safe for a rainy day, but haven't decided if I should yet. Not sure what I'd build with it.

Don't get too complacent with the fact that there are 80 million gun owners in the US. I work with gun owners who are not informed on gun rights, etc. They are planning to vote for Obama. They think he will make the world a better place. A bunch of idiots. They even believe he is a supporter of the 2nd amendment. No amount of talking to them can change their minds. Some agree with the AWB and think their rifle/pistol will not be banned. Even idiots who own semi-auto shotguns. The anti-gun crowd was first after "assault weapons". Have you noticed that now it is Semi-auto weapons? Or rapid-fire weapons? Hell.........a revolver can be a "rapid-fire" weapon. Some sheeple are just not aware. IDJITS!!!
There may be 80 million gun owners but I wonder just how many of them are aware or even bother to vote. |

I agree!!!
I actually think most of the gun laws that are in place today ... Are the result of complacency. My pointing out the number was a statement that if we are informed ... We are a great power. Unfortunately you are right. Many people do not have a clue about Obama, or the threat that always hovers and waits for the vulnerability of complacency and the uninformed. Quote:
