I finally got to sight in my new EOTech 552 mounted on a new Bushmaster Carbine and NcSTAR 4X30 scope mounted on an old Sendra Old School AR.

When finished sighting in, I shot one great group at 100 yards that the three shots were in a group the size of my thumbnail. The other groups were tight enough, but nothing better than 1",

The Bushmaster with the EOTech shot groups at about 2 inch circle. This was a new rifle that had never been fired before yesterday.

Took my 12 year old grandson with me and he and I both shot both of the rifles after sighting in the optics. It was a big day for the grandson, he shot two different styles of AR15 and got to shoot a friends Colt 45 pistol. He did very well with all of the weapons considering the intimidation factor that he had to overcome. May have been the first time he shot anything bigger than a 22 rifle or my 22 pistol.

Sounds good.

I still need to get out on a rest and get my eotech dead on. Its center of mass now.. But not dead on accurate yet, still needs a few adjustments.

That's why I haven't put the BUIS on my SBR build yet. I ordered a Chi-com 3x magnifier for the sole purpose of getting my EOTech dialed-in just right. Once that happens, the knock-off 3x goes in the parts bin and the BUIS go on!

I need to get one of those magnifier clones off ebay.. its on my list of things to do.
I had the same idea. Get it close on 1x. Dial it in with magnification.
I just dont have magnification lol.

I am planning on shooting coyote on the farm with my rifles. I was happy to get the rifles out and shoot. Bought 1000 rounds of ammo so that I can get a lot more practice in. I think we all need to stock pile more ammo before November.

I have eotechs on 2 ARs and 1 CX4 storm, working for L3 we get a nice discount on per calander year (I work for a different division, CS-W, but it still applies..... incase any of you other fellow L3 employees are out there). Ther are dam nice and makes up for aging eyes. I have just 1 aimpoint that I magnified, sine a eotech with magnificatio ngets hard to access the switches unless its the 557. I used Larue mounts, well worth the price. Glad you enjoyed your setup.

It's one of the best things I've bought. Do the sight-in at dusk or dawn via ranging your distance and cranking the dials.
Want to get better precision than your 3x magnifier as you sight in your firearm ... Hold a pair of binoculars between yourself and the Eotech ... It works and saves ammo.
